Abstract
The study examined the Integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in the teaching and learning of Physics in resource-constrained secondary schools Zvimba District. The main objectives were to determine the availability and accessibility of ICT tools, evaluate their effectiveness in supplementing the shortage of laboratories and apparatus, identify challenges faced by teachers and learners, and propose strategies to enhance ICT adoption. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining questionnaires, interviews, and classroom observations to collect both quantitative and qualitative data.Findings revealed that educational videos and simulations were the most commonly used ICT tools in Physics lessons. However, their use was hindered by challenges such as unreliable electricity, shortage of computers, and poor internet connectivity. Despite these limitations, both teachers and learners demonstrated positive attitudes towards ICT integration, acknowledging its role in improving understanding of abstract Physics concepts and increasing learner engagement. The study concluded that ICT tools have great potential to enhance Physics learning in schools with limited resources if infrastructural, technical, and professional support systems are strengthened. It recommended the use of solar power backups, increased ICT resources, and continuous teacher training to promote effective and sustainable ICT integration in Physics education.
